Shloka 3.75.3
पम्पादर्शनम् — Vision of Lake Pampā and the Turn toward Sugrīva
दृष्टोऽयमाश्रमस्सौम्य बह्वाश्चर्यो महात्मनाम्।विश्वस्तमृगशार्दूलो नानाविहगसेवितः।।3.75.3।।
praṇaṣṭam aśubhaṃ tat tat kalyāṇaṃ samupasthitam | tena tattvena hṛṣṭaṃ me mano lakṣmaṇa samprati || 3.75.5 ||
hṛdaye hi naravyāghra śubham āvirbhaviṣyati |
The inauspicious has passed away, and auspicious signs have arrived. Knowing this to be true, my heart is glad now, O Lakshmana; indeed, O tiger among men, good fortune will soon manifest from within.
O handsome one, we have seen this highly wonderful hermitage, where deer and tigers dwell together with mutual confidence, where birds of all kinds inhabit.
Dharma here is steadfastness grounded in truth (satya): reading events with faith, maintaining inner composure, and continuing righteous effort with hope rather than despair.
Rama expresses a renewed sense of optimism, interpreting recent signs as a turn from misfortune to auspiciousness.
