“Go and approach Sugrīva, the lord of the monkeys, O best of men.” Thus Rāma spoke again to Lakṣmaṇa—whose valor is grounded in truth.

The famous mount, sacred Rishyamuka is situated on the bank of Pampa full of blossoming trees.

Right means toward a righteous end: Rāma directs a respectful approach to Sugrīva, modeling Dharmic alliance-making through proper address and procedure.

Near Pampā and Ṛṣyamūka, Rāma instructs Lakṣmaṇa to go meet Sugrīva, initiating the alliance that will aid the search for Sītā.

Lakṣmaṇa’s reliability and truth-grounded courage (satya-vikrama), and Rāma’s leadership in delegating a mission.
