शबरी-आश्रम-प्रवेशः (Rama and Lakshmana at Sabari’s Hermitage)

इयं प्रत्यक्थ्सली वेदिर्यत्र ते मे सुसत्कृताः।पुष्पोपहारं कुर्वन्ति श्रमादुद्वेपिभिः करैः।।।।

iyaṁ pratyakthsalī vedir yatra te me susatkṛtāḥ |

puṣpopahāraṁ kurvanti śramād udvepibhiḥ karaiḥ ||

This is the altar called Pratyakthsalī, where those venerable sages—whom I once honored—made offerings of flowers with hands trembling from the toil of austerities.

This is the altar named Pratyaksthali where the saints aged and exhausted( by performing chandrayana) whom I worshipped made offerings of flowers with trembling hands.

Dharma here is reverence for holy persons and sacred rites: honoring the wise and sustaining worship even through hardship reflects right conduct grounded in humility and devotion.

Śabarī guides Rāma through the hermitage area, pointing out a named altar where earlier sages performed worship, leaving behind visible signs of their austerity.

Śabarī’s bhakti and seva (devotional service): she remembers and venerates the sages’ worship and presents the place to Rāma with sincerity.
