कबन्धमोक्षः—सुग्रीवमैत्र्युपदेशः (Kabandha’s Release and Counsel to Befriend Sugriva)
स ते सहायो मित्रं च सीतायाः परिमार्गणे।भविष्यति हिते राम मा च शोके मनः कृथाः।।।।
sa te sahāyo mitraṃ ca sītāyāḥ parimārgaṇe | bhaviṣyati hite rāma mā ca śoke manaḥ kṛthāḥ ||
He will be your helper and friend in the search for Sītā, working for your good, O Rāma; therefore do not let your mind sink into sorrow.
O Rama! he will help you as a benevolent friend in searching out Sita. Do not indulge in sorrow.
Dharma includes steadfastness and hope: one should pursue a righteous goal with proper allies and without surrendering to despair.
Kabandha predicts that Sugrīva will aid Rāma in finding Sītā and counsels Rāma to restrain grief.
Perseverance (dhṛti): maintaining mental steadiness and continuing righteous effort even in sorrow.
