सुतीक्ष्णाश्रमप्रवेशः — Entry into Sutikshna’s Hermitage

“Know this: there is no fault here other than what comes from the deer.” Hearing the great sage’s words, the steadfast elder brother of Lakṣmaṇa drew his bow with an arrow and spoke.

When heroic Rama heard that there was no other problem from the wild animals except their frequent incursions, he lifted his bow with an arrow and said these words:

S
Sūtīkṣṇa
R
Rāma
L
Lakṣmaṇa
D
dhanuḥ (bow)
Ś
śara (arrow)
M
mṛga (deer/animals)
Ā
āśrama (implied)

Kṣatriya-dharma: when even a minor disturbance is identified, Rāma prepares to protect the hermitage—defense of ascetic life is a righteous royal duty.

Sūtīkṣṇa notes the only trouble at the hermitage; Rāma immediately readies his weapon, indicating readiness to remove obstacles to peace.

Prompt responsibility and steadiness (dhīratā): Rāma responds decisively to safeguard the vulnerable.
