Shloka 3.7.20
सुतीक्ष्णाश्रमप्रवेशः — Entry into Sutikshna’s Hermitage
तानहं सुमहाभाग मृगसङ्घान्समागतान्।।3.7.20।।हन्यां निशितधारेण शरेणाशनिवर्चसा।
tataḥ tad ikṣvākuvarau santataṃ vividhair drumaiḥ |
kānanaṃ tau viviśatuḥ sītayā saha rāghavau || 3.7.3 ||
Thereafter the two Rāghavas—foremost among the Ikṣvāku line—entered the forest, dense with many kinds of trees, together with Sītā.
O reverend one, I will kill with a sharp-edged arrow, glowing like a thunderbolt, all those herds of animals who keep coming here.
Dharma here is expressed as steadfast companionship and duty: Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa proceed together, and Sītā remains with them, reflecting commitment to rightful conduct even in hardship.
Rāma, Lakṣmaṇa, and Sītā move deeper into the forest as part of their exile journey, approaching the region where sages dwell.
Perseverance and solidarity—facing the wilderness together without abandoning one another.
