अयोमुखी-दर्शनम् तथा कबन्ध-प्रवेशः (Ayomukhi Encounter and the ظهور of Kabandha)
तस्मात्सज्जीभवार्य त्वं कुरुष्व वचनं हितम्।ममैव हि निमित्तानि सद्यश्शंसन्ति सम्भ्रमम्।।।।
tasmāt sajjībhavārya tvaṃ kuruṣva vacanaṃ hitam | mamaiva hi nimittāni sadyaḥ śaṃsanti sambhramam ||
Therefore, O noble one, be ready and act upon my wholesome counsel; for the omens I perceive even now proclaim alarm and peril.
O noble brother! be alert. Heed my words of good advice. The bad omens I see presage perils.
Dharma is heeding wise counsel offered for protection and the common good—readiness and prudence in the face of danger.
Lakṣmaṇa urges Rāma to remain alert because the surrounding signs indicate imminent trouble while they search for Sītā.
Prudent counsel and devotion: Lakṣmaṇa’s duty-bound willingness to advise and guard Rāma.
