When Rāma learned from him the beloved account bound up with Sītā, his face filled with tears; his sorrow doubled, and he became helpless in grief.

Having known from Jatayu the story of his beloved Sita, Rama was full of tears, his grief redoubled.

Dharma acknowledges humane emotion: righteousness is not emotional numbness; Rāma’s tears show moral sensitivity and deep fidelity to relationship and duty.

After hearing Jatāyu’s report about Sītā, Rāma is overwhelmed; the confirmation of her abduction intensifies his suffering.

Rāma’s prema-bhāva (steadfast love) and karuṇā (tenderness) are foregrounded.
