गोदावरीतटे सीतान्वेषणम् — The Search for Sītā at the Godāvarī

मम रोषप्रयुक्तानां सायकानां बलं सुराः।द्रक्ष्यन्त्यद्य विमुक्तानामतिदूरातिगामिनाम्।।।।

mama roṣa-prayuktānāṃ sāyakānāṃ balaṃ surāḥ | drakṣyanty adya vimuktānām atidūrāti-gāminām ||

Today the gods themselves will behold the power of my arrows—loosed in rage—arrows that fly far beyond ordinary reach.

Now the gods will witness the power of my arrows released in great rage which can hit distant targets.

It reflects kṣatriya-dharma: the duty to confront adharma with strength. At the same time, the verse warns that power fueled by anger must be governed by maryādā.

Rāma escalates his vow, declaring that even divine beings will witness the extraordinary force of his wrath-driven weaponry.

Martial prowess and fearlessness—yet framed within a crisis of emotional control.
