सीताया रावणनिन्दा — अशोकवनिकाप्रवेशः (Sita’s Rebuke of Ravana; Removal to the Ashoka Grove)
एवमुक्त्वा तु वैदेही क्रोधात्सुपरुषं वचः।।।।रावणं मैथिली तत्र पुनर्नोवाच किञ्चन।
evam uktvā tu vaidehī krodhāt suparuṣaṃ vacaḥ |
rāvaṇaṃ maithilī tatra punar novāca kiñcana ||
Having spoken these extremely harsh words in anger to Ravana, Vaidehi—the princess of Mithila—fell silent and uttered nothing further.
Having uttered these very harsh words out of anger, the daughter of Videha, the princess from Mithila spoke no more.
Dharma here is self-restraint after righteous protest: Sītā speaks firmly against adharma and then refuses further engagement, signaling moral clarity without needless escalation.
In the forest episode of abduction, Sītā has just rebuked Rāvaṇa with harsh words; after that rebuke she stops speaking.
