सीतारावणसंवादः — Ravana Reveals Himself; Sita Affirms Rama’s Dharma

pādapān kāñcanān nūnaṁ bahūn paśyasi mandabhāk | rāghavasya priyāṁ bhāryāṁ yas tvam icchasi rāvaṇa || 3.47.38 ||

O ill-fated Rāvaṇa, since you desire the beloved wife of Rāghava, you will surely behold many golden trees—visions that come to those near ruin.

O luckless Ravana ! you want the beloved wife of Rama. You will, for sure, see golden trees. (which those close to death do).

Adharma leads to self-destruction: Sītā warns that wrongful desire for another’s lawful spouse brings inevitable downfall (karma-phala).

Sītā concludes this segment of her rebuke by predicting ominous consequences for Rāvaṇa’s transgression.

Moral clarity and prophetic discernment: she identifies the act as inherently ruinous and speaks truthfully without compromise.
