Broken by Rāma’s arrows and scattered, the mace fell upon the earth—like a serpentess brought down by the power of mantras and medicines.
O night-ranger, one who does a horrific deed which is against the world will be killed like an evil serpent come near.
Righteous action subdues lethal harm; dharma is portrayed as a force that pacifies what is dangerous, restoring safety.
After being shattered in the air, Khara’s mace falls in fragments to the ground.
Rāma’s protective competence—his disciplined prowess defeats a weapon likened to death itself.
