अरण्यकाण्डे एकोनत्रिंशः सर्गः (Sarga 29: Rama’s Admonition to Khara and the Shattering of the Mace)
उद्वेजनीयो भूतानां नृशंसः पापकर्मकृत्।त्रयाणामपि लोकानामीश्वरोऽपि न तिष्ठति।।।।
tām āpatantīṃ jvalatāṃ mṛtyupāśopamāṃ gadām | antarikṣagatāṃ rāmaś ciccheda bahudhā śaraiḥ ||
As that flaming mace fell through the sky, like the noose of death itself, Rāma shattered it into many pieces with his arrows.
One who is wicked, does sinful deeds and causes distress to all beings, will notsurvive even if he is the lord of the three worlds.
Dharma protects life by restraining destructive force; righteous strength is shown as controlled, precise defense.
Rāma counters Khara’s lethal weapon midair, breaking it apart with arrows.
Rāma’s skill and self-possession—he neutralizes a deadly threat without panic.
