Seeing him, Rama too—mighty-armed and a great charioteer—began to fill all directions and the intermediate quarters with his arrows.
Khara, sat on the chariot, and with a twang of his bow-string released arrows in all directions, exhibiting his skill in the use of weapons.
Rama’s response models protective duty: when threatened by violent wrongdoing, a righteous warrior may act decisively to prevent harm.
Rama answers Khara’s arrow-storm with an equal or greater shower, controlling the battlefield space.
Readiness and steadiness under attack—Rama’s composed valor and competence as a mahāratha.
