The earth became wholly strewn with those who fell at once, those who were violently slain at once, and those who had at once fallen dead.
It seemed as if it all happened at the same time, the entire earth filling with demons seriously injured, slain and fallen down on the ground.
The word 'yugapat' means 'simultaneously'. Its threefold repetition emphasizes the incredible speed of Rama's arrows, creating an illusion that the enemies were falling, dying, and hitting the ground all at the exact same instant.
It describes the aftermath of the fierce battle between Rama and the army of Khara and Dushana, where the ground was carpeted with the bodies of the slain demons.
