खरसेनासङ्ग्रामः — The Battle with Khara’s Host at the Hermitage

तद्बभूवाद्भुतं युद्धं तुमुलं रोमहर्षणम्।रामस्य च महाघोरं पुनस्तेषां च रक्षसाम्।।।।

tad babhūv ādbhutaṃ yuddhaṃ tumulaṃ romaharṣaṇam | rāmasya ca mahāghoraṃ punas teṣāṃ ca rakṣasām ||

Once again that battle flared up—astonishing in its intensity, tumultuous and hair-raising—dreadfully fierce both for Rāma and for those rākṣasas.

The thrilling, fierce, horrifying and horripilating battle again ensued betwen Rama and the demons.

Dharma here is steadfastness in rightful duty: even when violence erupts repeatedly, Rama stands firm in protection and righteous resistance rather than retreating into fear or anger.

The fight renews with heightened intensity between Rama and the rākṣasa forces in the Daṇḍaka forest episode (Khara’s campaign context).

Rama’s courage and composure under pressure—enduring a terrifying battle without abandoning his protective duty.
