महोत्पात-लक्षणानि (Omens before Khara’s Assault)
समीयुश्च महात्मानो युद्धदर्शनकाङ्क्षिणः।।।।ऋषयो देवगन्दर्वास्सिद्धाश्च सहचारणैः।
samīyuś ca mahātmāno yuddha-darśana-kāṅkṣiṇaḥ |
ṛṣayo deva-gandharvāḥ siddhāś ca saha-cāraṇaiḥ ||
Great souls—sages, gods, Gandharvas, Siddhas, and the Cāraṇas—gathered together, eager to witness the coming battle.

Dharma here is framed as public moral order: even cosmic beings ‘witness’ the conflict, implying that warfare and justice are accountable to a higher, observing moral universe.
