पञ्चवटी-निवासः (Settlement at Pañcavaṭī and Construction of the Hermitage)
सुसंहृष्टः परिष्वज्य बाहुभ्यां लक्ष्मणं तदा।अतिस्निग्धं च गाढं च वचनं चेदमब्रवीत्।।।।
susaṃhṛṣṭaḥ pariṣvajya bāhubhyāṃ lakṣmaṇaṃ tadā |
ati-snigdhaṃ ca gāḍhaṃ ca vacanaṃ cedam abravīt || 3.15.27 ||
Overjoyed, he embraced Lakṣmaṇa with both arms—tight and with deep affection—and spoke these heartfelt words.
Deeply pleased with Lakshmana, he hugged him tightly and said those loving words :
Kṛtajñatā (gratitude) as dharma: righteous persons acknowledge service with sincere affection and recognition.
Rāma, pleased with the hermitage, embraces Lakṣmaṇa and begins to praise him.
Rāma’s tenderness and gratitude—his affection is expressed openly and appropriately.
