Thereafter he made an offering of flowers and performed the rite of peace according to the prescribed rule; then he showed Rāma the prepared site of the hermitage.
Lakshmana offered oblation of flowers, invoked peace as per tradition (before occupying a newly made home) and showed Rama the cottage he had built.
Dharma as yathāvidhi (acting by rightful procedure): auspicious rites acknowledge cosmic and social order before occupying a residence.
Lakṣmaṇa completes customary offerings and peace-invocation, then presents the finished hermitage to Rāma.
Reverence and correctness—Lakṣmaṇa combines practical labor with proper ritual responsibility.
