O sinless one, this entire account about you is known to me—through the power of my austerities, and also through affection for Daśaratha.

O sinless one, I have kown all these facts about you by the power of penance and love for Dasaratha.

Rāma

Daśaratha

tapas (austerity)

True knowledge is joined with compassion: the sage’s insight (from tapas) is guided by loyal concern for the righteous (Daśaratha and Rāma).

Agastya explains how he already knows Rāma’s life-circumstances—both by ascetic insight and by personal regard for Daśaratha.

Agastya’s discernment and benevolence: wisdom obtained through discipline is used to counsel and support dharmic action.
