Go there, make a hermitage together with Saumitrī, and live contentedly, faithfully upholding your father’s command just as it was spoken.
Reaching there, you wikk build a hermitage with Lakshmana and enjoy your life given to the fulfilment of the pledge to the father.
Dharma here is obedience to a righteous parental command (pitṛ-vākya), carried out exactly as promised, without resentment.
Agastya advises Rāma to proceed to a suitable forest location, establish a hermitage with Lakṣmaṇa, and continue honoring Daśaratha’s instruction during exile.
Rāma’s satya (truthfulness) and steadfastness in keeping vows—expressed as faithful adherence to his father’s word.
