Shloka 3.12.33
अगस्त्याश्रमप्रवेशः तथा दिव्यायुधप्रदानम् (Entry into Agastya’s Hermitage and the Gift of Divine Weapons)
इदं दिव्यं महच्चापं हेमरत्नविभूषितम्।।3.12.32।। वैष्णवं पुरुषव्याघ्र निर्मितं विश्वकर्मणा। अमोघस्सूर्यसङ्काशो ब्रह्मदत्तश्शरोत्तमः।।3.12.33।।
idaṃ divyaṃ mahac cāpaṃ hema-ratna-vibhūṣitam | vaiṣṇavaṃ puruṣa-vyāghra nirmitaṃ viśvakarmaṇā | amoghaḥ sūrya-saṅkāśo brahma-dattaḥ śarottamaḥ ||
O tiger among men, here is a great divine bow adorned with gold and gems—Viṣṇu’s own, fashioned by Viśvakarman. And here is an excellent arrow, unfailing and radiant like the sun, bestowed by Brahmā.
O best among men this divine bow studded with gold and gems belongs to Visnu and designed by Visvakarma. This excellent, unfailing arrow, bright like the Sun, was given to me by Brahma.
Power is sanctified when aligned with dharma: divine weapons are introduced as instruments for righteous protection, not personal aggression.
Agastya begins presenting sacred weaponry to Rāma, identifying their divine provenance and reliability.
Rāma’s fitness to bear divine arms responsibly; Agastya’s role as a dharmic guide who equips righteousness.
