This southern quarter, made auspicious by the Blessed Sage, became renowned in the three worlds and proved unassailable to those of cruel deeds.
The southern side favourable to the people was famous by the name Agastya in the three worlds and stood unassailable to the demons.
Dharma sanctifies space: when holiness is established, even a feared region becomes auspicious and protected, resisting exploitation by the cruel.
The sage explains the widespread fame of Agastya’s southern domain and its security against violent forces.
