Matsya Purana — Yayāti in Amarāvatī-like Splendor: Devayānī Installed
त्रय एवाधना राजन् भार्या दासस्तथा सुतः यत्ते समधिगच्छन्ति यस्य ते तस्य तद्धनम् //
traya evādhanā rājan bhāryā dāsastathā sutaḥ yatte samadhigacchanti yasya te tasya taddhanam //
O King, three are said to have no independent property: the wife, the servant, and the son. Whatever they acquire belongs to him to whom they belong; truly, that wealth is his.
This verse does not address Pralaya; it is a nīti/rajadharma statement on ownership and dependence within the household.
It frames dependents (wife, servant, son) as lacking independent proprietary capacity, implying the householder/guardian bears responsibility for their maintenance and that acquisitions made under his household authority are treated as household property.
No Vāstu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is mentioned; the focus is social-ethical and legal: rights over wealth within the household.
