Matsya Purana — Yadu Lineage
एवमुक्त्वासुराः सर्वे प्रापद्यन्त बृहस्पतिम् यदा न प्रत्यपद्यन्त काव्येनोक्तं महद्धितम् //
evamuktvāsurāḥ sarve prāpadyanta bṛhaspatim yadā na pratyapadyanta kāvyenoktaṃ mahaddhitam //
Having spoken thus, all the Asuras then approached Bṛhaspati, because they did not accept the great benefit that had been advised by Kāvyā (Śukra).
This verse does not address Pralaya; it highlights a moral-political theme: rejecting beneficial counsel and seeking another adviser.
It underscores discernment (viveka) in accepting advice: one should recognize truly beneficial counsel and not abandon sound guidance out of pride, factionalism, or impatience—an essential principle for rulers and household decision-making alike.
No Vāstu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is stated in this verse; the focus is on counsel, allegiance, and acceptance of welfare-oriented instruction.
