Matsya Purana — Yadu Lineage
इत्युक्ता ह्य् असुरास्तेन ताव् उभौ समवेक्ष्य च यदासुरा विशेषं तु न जानन्त्युभयोस्तयोः //
ityuktā hy asurāstena tāv ubhau samavekṣya ca yadāsurā viśeṣaṃ tu na jānantyubhayostayoḥ //
Thus addressed by him, the Asuras looked closely at those two; yet they could not discern any distinguishing difference between them both.
This verse does not directly describe Pralaya; it highlights delusion and failed discernment, a recurring Purāṇic theme that explains why beings misjudge reality even within cosmic events.
It implicitly stresses viveka (clear discrimination): a king or householder must examine carefully and still not be misled by appearances—sound judgment is a core ethical duty in governance and daily dharma.
No Vāstu or ritual procedure is stated in this verse; its takeaway is psychological and ethical—careful observation alone is insufficient without true discernment.
