Matsya Purana — War of Devas and Dānavas: Yama and Kubera Defeated; Kālanemi’s Māyā and the A...
दधार रूपं मेघस्य विद्युन्मालालतावृतम् तदवस्थागतं दृष्ट्वा कुजम्भं महिषासुरः //
dadhāra rūpaṃ meghasya vidyunmālālatāvṛtam tadavasthāgataṃ dṛṣṭvā kujambhaṃ mahiṣāsuraḥ //
Mahīṣāsura assumed the form of a cloud, wreathed in garlands of lightning-creeper flashes; and seeing Kujambha caught in that condition, he advanced upon him.
This verse does not discuss pralaya; it depicts an asura’s māyā-like transformation into a cloud-form during a battle scene.
Indirectly, it underscores vigilance in conflict: adversaries may use deception and changing appearances, so a ruler’s duty includes discernment and preparedness against stratagems.
No Vāstu or ritual procedure is specified here; the verse is primarily poetic combat imagery (cloud and lightning) used to intensify the battle description.
