Matsya Purana — Tripura’s Prosperity
सचन्द्रेषु प्रदोषेषु साम्बुजेषु सरःसु च आरामेषु सचूतेषु तपोधनवनेषु च //
sacandreṣu pradoṣeṣu sāmbujeṣu saraḥsu ca ārāmeṣu sacūteṣu tapodhanavaneṣu ca //
Likewise, one should avoid disturbance or improper activity at moonlit twilight times, at lotus-filled lakes, in pleasure-groves with mango trees, and in forests belonging to ascetics rich in austerity.
This verse is not about Pralaya; it focuses on Vastu-style purity and protected natural/sacred zones (twilight times, lotus lakes, gardens, and ascetic forests) rather than cosmic dissolution.
It implies restraint and protection: a king/householder should respect sacred times (pradoṣa) and safeguard revered landscapes—lakes, groves, and ascetic retreats—avoiding actions that pollute, damage, or disturb them.
It signals site-sensitivity in Vastu: certain locales and times are treated as ritually charged (twilight, lotus-water bodies, mango-groves, ascetic forests), guiding where not to build, dig, exploit, or create disturbance.
