Matsya Purana — The Rohiṇī–Candraśayana Vow
कृतजप्यः स्वभवनम् आगत्य मधुसूदनम् पूजयेत्फलपुष्पैश्च सोमनामानि कीर्तयन् //
kṛtajapyaḥ svabhavanam āgatya madhusūdanam pūjayetphalapuṣpaiśca somanāmāni kīrtayan //
Having completed his prescribed japa, he should return to his own home and worship Madhusūdana (Viṣṇu) with fruits and flowers, while reciting the names of Soma.
This verse does not address pralaya; it focuses on post-japa domestic worship (puja) directed to Vishnu (Madhusudana) with recitation of Soma’s names.
It presents a grihastha-style discipline: after completing japa, one returns home and performs simple, sattvic worship with fruits and flowers—modeling daily religious duty and regulated devotion.
Ritually, it specifies sequence and offerings: japa first, then home-based puja to Vishnu using phala-puṣpa (fruits/flowers) and kirtana (name-recitation), indicating a concise worship protocol rather than temple architecture.
