Matsya Purana — The Pushkara Manifestation
इत्येते द्वादशादित्या वरिष्ठास्त्रिदिवौकसः आदित्यस्य सरस्वत्यां जज्ञाते द्वौ सुतौ वरौ //
ityete dvādaśādityā variṣṭhāstridivaukasaḥ ādityasya sarasvatyāṃ jajñāte dvau sutau varau //
Thus are these twelve Ādityas—pre-eminent among the dwellers of the three heavens. And to Āditya, in Sarasvatī, two excellent sons were born.
This verse does not describe Pralaya directly; it belongs to a genealogical register, emphasizing the celestial order through the enumeration of the twelve Ādityas and their progeny.
Indirectly, it supports the Purāṇic ideal that righteous rule and household life are grounded in awareness of sacred lineages and cosmic hierarchy—kings often trace legitimacy through such divine genealogies.
No explicit Vāstu or temple-ritual rule appears in this verse; its ritual value is mainly recitational—used in Purāṇic contexts to remember deities (Ādityas) and their familial relations.
