Reciting, “Obeisance to Mādhava, Lord of the Alakās; obeisance to the Universal-Formed One; obeisance to the All-Self,” one should duly worship the crown; and in the same manner one should worship the head of the deity as well.
This verse is not about pralaya; it teaches mantra-guided worship of the deity’s crown and head, emphasizing Viṣṇu as Viśvarūpa (cosmic form) and Sarvātman (inner Self of all).
It models disciplined, text-based pūjā: a king or householder is to uphold dharma through correct ritual conduct—honoring the deity with prescribed mantras and orderly worship of limbs and ornaments.
Ritually, it specifies ābharaṇa-pūjā (worship of ornaments) and a sequential approach—worshipping the crown with designated mantras and then worshipping the head “in the same manner,” aligning temple pūjā with iconographic procedure.
