Matsya Purana — The Gods Seek Śiva’s Refuge: The Cosmic Chariot Prepared for the Burning of T...

The gods, led by Brahmā, fashioned a pair of chariot-rims; the two primordial principles became the wing-mechanism. This entire yantra, together with these presiding deities, was thus constituted.
Indirectly, it frames creation as an ordered, divinely engineered process: cosmic functions are expressed through a constructed “yantra” whose parts and deities are assigned roles—an idea often used in Purāṇic cosmology when describing how the world is structured and maintained.
It supports the dharmic principle that sacred works (public rituals, consecrations, temple endowments) should be performed according to correct technical specification—kings and householders are expected to sponsor and execute rites with proper components and competent guidance.
It points to Vāstu/ritual design logic: parts of a yantra are not merely mechanical but correspond to specific forms (wheel-rims, wing-device) and presiding deities—implying that correct construction includes both physical proportions and deity-assignment (devatā-nyāsa) for efficacy.
