Matsya Purana — The Episode of Madhu and Kaiṭabha: Gunas
ततस्तावूचतुस्तत्र ब्रह्माणमसुरोत्तमौ दीप्तौ मुमूर्षू संक्रुद्धौ रोषव्याकुलितेक्षणौ //
tatastāvūcatustatra brahmāṇamasurottamau dīptau mumūrṣū saṃkruddhau roṣavyākulitekṣaṇau //
Then, there the two foremost Asuras addressed Brahmā—flaring with fury, ready to die, enraged, their eyes trembling with wrath.
This verse does not describe Pralaya directly; it sets a conflict scene in which powerful Asuras confront Brahmā, reflecting the turbulence that can arise within the created order.
Indirectly, it warns against wrath-driven speech and reckless, self-destructive rage; Matsya Purana’s ethical tone favors restraint (dama) and measured conduct over impulsive confrontation.
None is stated in this shloka; it is narrative description rather than Vastu/ritual instruction.
