Matsya Purana — The Dialogue of Kacha and Devayani: Dharma
*कच उवाच पूज्यो मान्यश्च भगवान् यथा मम पिता तव तथा त्वमनवद्याङ्गि पूजनीयतमा मता //
*kaca uvāca pūjyo mānyaśca bhagavān yathā mama pitā tava tathā tvamanavadyāṅgi pūjanīyatamā matā //
Kaca said: “Just as the venerable Lord—my father—is to be worshipped and honored by you, so too are you, O flawless-limbed one, regarded by me as most worthy of worship.”
This verse does not discuss Pralaya; it focuses on social and ethical dharma—reciprocal reverence and worshipful respect toward worthy persons.
It reinforces a core dharma principle relevant to all—especially householders and rulers—namely honoring elders, teachers, and the worthy with proper respect, thereby sustaining social order and righteous conduct.
No Vastu or temple-architecture rule is stated; the ritual takeaway is the emphasis on “pūjya/mānya”—that worship and honor are due to those regarded as spiritually or socially venerable.
