Matsya Purana — Solar–Lunar Motions
ततो ऽन्यकामसंयोगशब्दादेर् दोषदर्शनात् इत्येतैः कारणैः शुद्धैस् ते ऽमृतत्वं हि भेजिरे //
tato 'nyakāmasaṃyogaśabdāder doṣadarśanāt ityetaiḥ kāraṇaiḥ śuddhais te 'mṛtatvaṃ hi bhejire //
Therefore, by discerning the faults in association with other desires—and in the distractions beginning with mere talk—purified through these very causes, they indeed attained immortality (amṛtatva).
This verse is not about cosmic dissolution; it teaches inner purification—seeing the defects in desire-based association and idle speech—as a means to attain deathlessness (amṛtatva).
It advises disciplined restraint: even while ruling or maintaining a household, one should avoid entanglement in secondary desires and curb harmful or idle talk, since such self-governance is presented as a purifier leading toward higher spiritual attainment.
No Vastu or ritual procedure is specified here; the focus is ethical-psychological purification—detachment from desire and control of speech—as the ‘means’ leading to amṛtatva.
