Matsya Purana — Rite and Merits of the Sesame-Mountain
दीर्घायुष्यं समाप्नोति पुत्रपौत्रैश्च मोदते पितृभिर्देवगन्धर्वैः पूज्यमानो दिवं व्रजेत् //
dīrghāyuṣyaṃ samāpnoti putrapautraiśca modate pitṛbhirdevagandharvaiḥ pūjyamāno divaṃ vrajet //
He attains long life, rejoices with sons and grandsons, and—being honored by the Pitṛs, the Devas, and the Gandharvas—goes to heaven.
This verse does not address Pralaya directly; it states the karmic fruits of dharmic conduct—longevity, family prosperity, and ascent to heaven honored by divine beings.
It presents a classic Purāṇic incentive for dharma: by fulfilling prescribed duties (such as charity, vows, rites, and ethical living), a householder or king gains long life, flourishing lineage, and posthumous honor among Pitṛs and Devas.
No Vāstu or iconographic rule is stated here; the ritual implication is general—proper dharmic observances yield merit leading to ancestral and divine approval and attainment of svarga.
