Matsya Purana — Pitṛ Worlds
एतेषां मानसी कन्या यशोदा लोकविश्रुता पत्नी ह्य् अंशुमतः श्रेष्ठा स्नुषा पञ्चजनस्य च //
eteṣāṃ mānasī kanyā yaśodā lokaviśrutā patnī hy aṃśumataḥ śreṣṭhā snuṣā pañcajanasya ca //
Among them there was a mind-born daughter, Yaśodā, renowned throughout the world; she became the excellent wife of Aṃśumat and also the daughter-in-law of Pañcajana.
This verse does not discuss Pralaya; it belongs to the Matsya Purana’s genealogical narration, focusing on lineage continuity through a mind-born daughter and marriage ties.
By emphasizing lawful lineage and marital alliance, the verse supports the householder-kingly ideal of sustaining dynasty (vaṃśa), social order, and succession through recognized family relationships.
No Vāstu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is stated here; the content is purely genealogical, naming relationships in a royal line.
