Matsya Purana — Paurava Genealogy: Bharata
क्षेमात्सुनीथः संजज्ञे सुनीथस्य नृपंजयः नृपंजयाच्च विरथ इत्येते पौरवाः स्तुताः //
kṣemātsunīthaḥ saṃjajñe sunīthasya nṛpaṃjayaḥ nṛpaṃjayācca viratha ityete pauravāḥ stutāḥ //
From Kṣema was born Sunītha; from Sunītha came Nṛpaṃjaya; and from Nṛpaṃjaya was born Viratha—these are the celebrated kings of the Paurava line.
This verse does not discuss Pralaya; it records dynastic succession in the Paurava (Puru) lineage, focusing on royal genealogy rather than cosmic cycles.
Indirectly, it supports the Purāṇic ideal of righteous kingship by preserving royal succession and memory—genealogies function as models of legitimacy and continuity for kṣatriya dharma.
No Vāstu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is mentioned in this verse; it is purely genealogical.
