Matsya Purana — Paurava Genealogy: Bharata
युगदत्तः सुतस्तस्य विष्वक्सेनो महायशाः विभ्राजः पुनर् आजातः सुकृतेनेह कर्मणा //
yugadattaḥ sutastasya viṣvakseno mahāyaśāḥ vibhrājaḥ punar ājātaḥ sukṛteneha karmaṇā //
His son was Yugadatta. From him was born the greatly renowned Viṣvaksena; and Vibhrāja too was born again here in this world through the merit of his virtuous deeds.
This verse does not describe pralaya; it is a genealogical notice emphasizing rebirth in this world due to accumulated merit (sukṛta/puṇya).
By stating that Vibhrāja is reborn through virtuous action, it reinforces the Matsya Purana’s ethical premise that dharmic duties—charity, restraint, protection, and righteous conduct—generate merit that shapes future births and status.
No Vāstu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is specified here; the focus is lineage continuity and the karmic principle that good deeds yield favorable rebirth.
