Matsya Purana — Paurava Genealogy: Bharata
जज्ञे सर्वगुणोपेतो विभ्राजस्तस्य चात्मजः विभ्राजस्य तु दायादस् त्व् अणुहो नाम वीर्यवान् //
jajñe sarvaguṇopeto vibhrājastasya cātmajaḥ vibhrājasya tu dāyādas tv aṇuho nāma vīryavān //
His son was born as Vibhrāja, endowed with every noble quality. And Vibhrāja’s heir was the valiant one named Aṇuha.
This verse is genealogical, recording royal succession (Vibhrāja and his heir Aṇuha) and does not describe Pralaya or cosmological dissolution.
By praising the successor as “endowed with all virtues” and “valiant,” it implies the Puranic ideal of kingship: moral excellence (guṇa) joined with protective strength (vīrya) as the basis for legitimate succession.
No Vāstu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is stated here; the verse functions purely as a lineage record within the Matsya Purana’s dynastic narration.
