Matsya Purana — Paurava Genealogy
धृतराष्ट्रं च पाण्डुं च विदुरं चाप्यजीजनत् धृतराष्ट्रस्तु गान्धार्यां पुत्रानजनयच्छतम् //
dhṛtarāṣṭraṃ ca pāṇḍuṃ ca viduraṃ cāpyajījanat dhṛtarāṣṭrastu gāndhāryāṃ putrānajanayacchatam //
He begot Dhṛtarāṣṭra, Pāṇḍu, and also Vidura. And Dhṛtarāṣṭra, through Gāndhārī, fathered a hundred sons.
This verse does not address Pralaya; it is a dynastic record describing the birth of key figures in the Kuru lineage and the hundred sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra.
Indirectly, it frames royal dharma through lineage and succession: legitimate descent and continuity of heirs are presented as central to stable kingship and household order in Purāṇic tradition.
No Vāstu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is stated in this verse; its focus is genealogical (vamśa) rather than architectural or liturgical.
