Matsya Purana — Omens in Tripura and the Nārada–Maya Dialogue on Dharma
त्वमधर्मरथारूढः सहैभिर्मत्तदानवैः अपकारिषु देवानां कुरुषे त्वं सहायताम् //
tvamadharmarathārūḍhaḥ sahaibhirmattadānavaiḥ apakāriṣu devānāṃ kuruṣe tvaṃ sahāyatām //
Mounted upon the chariot of unrighteousness, together with these intoxicated Dānavas, you are offering aid to those who do harm to the gods.
This verse is not about Pralaya; it is an ethical rebuke describing alignment with adharma and supporting forces hostile to the Devas.
It warns against forming alliances that strengthen harmful, unrighteous actors—implying that rulers and householders should support dharma, protect the good, and avoid enabling those who injure the righteous.
No Vāstu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is referenced; the focus is moral-political: condemning assistance given to anti-Deva, adharma-driven groups.
