Matsya Purana — Navagraha Sacrifice for Planetary Pacification and Prosperity
यस्मादायासकर्माणि तवाधीनानि सर्वदा लाङ्गलाद्यायुधादीनि तस्माच्छान्तिं प्रयच्छ मे //
yasmādāyāsakarmāṇi tavādhīnāni sarvadā lāṅgalādyāyudhādīni tasmācchāntiṃ prayaccha me //
Since all toilsome works are always under your control—along with implements such as the plough and other tools and weapons—therefore grant me peace and freedom from harm.
This verse does not discuss Pralaya; it is a Shanti-prayer asserting that the forces governing labor and implements are under a higher divine/ritual authority, and it asks for pacification (śānti).
For householders (and kings overseeing agriculture and public works), it frames ethical-religious responsibility around safe and auspicious use of tools—especially the plough and implements—seeking śānti to prevent injury, mishap, or inauspicious outcomes in labor.
Ritually, it functions as a śānti-mantra within a pacification sequence connected to instruments (lāṅgala, āyudha). In Vastu-linked practice, such prayers are used to harmonize human activity (work, building, cultivation) with auspicious order before or during operations involving tools.
