Matsya Purana — Navagraha Sacrifice for Planetary Pacification and Prosperity
ग्रहयज्ञत्रयं गेहे लिखितं यत्र तिष्ठति न पीडा तत्र बालानां न रोगो न च बन्धनम् //
grahayajñatrayaṃ gehe likhitaṃ yatra tiṣṭhati na pīḍā tatra bālānāṃ na rogo na ca bandhanam //
In the house where the threefold graha-yajña is written down and kept, there is no affliction for the children—no disease and no bondage.
This verse does not address pralaya directly; it teaches a protective household practice—keeping the written grahayajña-traya—to avert harm, disease, and misfortune, especially for children.
It supports the gṛhastha’s duty of safeguarding the household through prescribed rites and dharmic observances; maintaining such protective rituals is presented as a means to ensure welfare, health, and freedom from calamities for the family.
Ritually, it highlights the efficacy of the grahayajña-traya and the practice of keeping it “written” in the home as a talismanic-ritual safeguard (a gṛha-śānti measure) associated with Vastu-linked domestic well-being.
