Matsya Purana — Kārtavīrya Arjuna’s Solar Boon and the Genealogy from Kroṣṭu to the Yādava Lines
हृदीकस्याभवन्पुत्रा दश भीमपराक्रमाः कृतवर्माग्रजस् तेषां शतधन्वा च मध्यमः //
hṛdīkasyābhavanputrā daśa bhīmaparākramāḥ kṛtavarmāgrajas teṣāṃ śatadhanvā ca madhyamaḥ //
Hṛdīka had ten sons, all of formidable valor. Among them Kṛtavarmā was the eldest, and Śatadhanvā was the middle one.
This verse does not address Pralaya; it is a genealogical statement listing Hṛdīka’s sons and identifying Kṛtavarmā as eldest and Śatadhanvā as the middle son.
Indirectly, it supports the Purāṇic ideal of preserving lineage memory (vaṃśa-smaraṇa), which underpins royal legitimacy and the transmission of dharma through well-known dynasties.
No Vāstu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is mentioned; the verse is focused on dynastic enumeration.
