Matsya Purana — Kārtavīrya Arjuna’s Solar Boon and the Genealogy from Kroṣṭu to the Yādava Lines
देवार्हश्चैव नाभश्च भीषणश्च महाबलः अजातो वनजातश्च कनीयककरम्भकौ //
devārhaścaiva nābhaśca bhīṣaṇaśca mahābalaḥ ajāto vanajātaśca kanīyakakarambhakau //
Also there were Devārha and Nābha; Bhīṣaṇa and Mahābala; Ajāta and Vanajāta; and the two—Kanīyaka and Karambhaka.
This verse is not about Pralaya; it functions as a genealogical register, listing named figures in a dynastic sequence rather than describing cosmic dissolution.
Indirectly, it supports the Purana’s dharmic framework by preserving lineage memory—an important royal duty in Puranic culture—though no explicit raja-dharma or grihastha duties are stated in this particular verse.
No Vastu Shastra, temple architecture rule, or ritual procedure is specified here; the verse is purely nominative (a list of names) within a genealogy section.
