Matsya Purana — Hiranyakashipu’s Boons
विश्वाची सहजन्या च प्रम्लोचेत्यभिविश्रुता दिव्याथ सौरभेयी च समीची पुञ्जिकस्थली //
viśvācī sahajanyā ca pramlocetyabhiviśrutā divyātha saurabheyī ca samīcī puñjikasthalī //
Viśvācī, Sahajanyā, and Pramlocā—thus celebrated everywhere—(as well as) Divyā, Saurabheyī, Samīcī, and Puñjikasthalī (are named).
This verse does not describe Pralaya; it functions as a catalogue-style enumeration of renowned apsarases (celestial nymphs) within the Purana’s broader cosmological and genealogical material.
Indirectly: such catalogues situate human society within a larger cosmic order. In the Matsya Purana, kingship and household duties are often framed against this cosmology, though this specific verse itself is primarily nominative (a list of names).
No Vastu Shastra or ritual procedure is specified in this verse; it is a naming verse listing apsarases rather than prescribing temple architecture or rites.
