Matsya Purana — Glory of Tīrtha-Śrāddha: Best Times
तथाच बदरीतीर्थं गणतीर्थं तथैव च जयन्तं विजयं चैव शक्रतीर्थं तथैव च //
tathāca badarītīrthaṃ gaṇatīrthaṃ tathaiva ca jayantaṃ vijayaṃ caiva śakratīrthaṃ tathaiva ca //
Likewise, (there are) Badarī-tīrtha, Gaṇa-tīrtha; and also Jayanta and Vijaya; and likewise Śakra-tīrtha as well.
This verse does not discuss Pralaya; it catalogs pilgrimage tīrthas, emphasizing sacred geography rather than cosmological dissolution.
By enumerating tīrthas, it supports the dharma of tīrtha-yātrā (pilgrimage) and dāna (charity) undertaken by householders and kings to accrue merit, uphold religion, and patronize sacred sites.
Ritually, the verse points to prescribed pilgrimage destinations where bathing, worship, offerings, and vows are traditionally performed; it does not state specific temple-building (Vāstu) rules but anchors ritual practice to named sacred locations.
