Matsya Purana — Glory of Tīrtha-Śrāddha: Best Times
रामाधिवासस्तत्रापि तथा सौमित्रिसंगमः इन्द्रकीलं महानादं तथा च प्रियमेलकम् //
rāmādhivāsastatrāpi tathā saumitrisaṃgamaḥ indrakīlaṃ mahānādaṃ tathā ca priyamelakam //
There too is the sacred site known as “Rāma’s Dwelling,” and likewise the “Confluence of Saumitri (Lakṣmaṇa).” Also found there are Indrakīla, Mahānāda, and the beloved meeting-place called Priyamelaka.
This verse does not discuss Pralaya; it catalogues pilgrimage sites (tirthas) connected with Rama and Lakshmana, emphasizing sacred geography rather than cosmic dissolution.
By listing tirthas, the text supports the householder/kingly duty of dharmic pilgrimage and honoring sanctified places associated with exemplary figures like Rama—an indirect encouragement toward merit (puṇya) through reverence and right conduct.
The ritual significance is tirtha-oriented: confluences (saṅgama) and named sacred locales are highlighted as worthy of visitation, bathing, and worship; no specific Vastu or temple-construction rule is stated in this verse.
