Matsya Purana — Genealogy of Kaśyapa: Ādityas
असिलोमा पुलोमा च बिन्दुर्बाणो महासुरः स्वर्भानुर्वृषपर्वा च एवमाद्या दनोः सुताः //
asilomā pulomā ca bindurbāṇo mahāsuraḥ svarbhānurvṛṣaparvā ca evamādyā danoḥ sutāḥ //
Asilomā, Pulomā, Bindu, Bāṇa the great Asura, and also Svarbhānu and Vṛṣaparvā—these were the principal sons of Danu.
This verse is genealogical rather than pralaya-focused; it catalogs major Danava (Asura) figures, helping map cosmic lineages that persist across cycles of creation and dissolution in Purāṇic time.
Indirectly, it supports the Purāṇic aim of teaching history and moral reflection through lineages—kings and householders are encouraged to know traditional genealogies (vaṃśa) to understand dharma, alliances, and the consequences of asuric tendencies such as pride and aggression.
No Vāstu, iconography, or ritual procedure is stated in this verse; its function is to preserve a canonical roster of Danava names used later in mythic, ritual, and narrative contexts.
